Manche Bart\u00e4xte wurden aber auch als Fernwaffe genutzt, indem sie aus der Entfernung in die feindlichen Reihen geschleudert wurden.<\/p>\n<p>Diese von den Wikingern inspirierte Axt hat einen Griff, in den eine nordische Rune namens Othala eingraviert ist. Othala (\u16df) ist die 24. und letzte Rune des \u00e4lteren Futhark mit dem Lautwert \u201eO\u201c. Der rekonstruierte urgermanische Runenname geht auf *\u014d\u00fealan zur\u00fcck. Er bedeutet vermutlich \u201eErbbesitz, Stammgut, in der Sippe erbliches Verm\u00f6gen\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Ein Set bestehend aus einem handgeschmiedeten H\u00e4utungsmesser und einer h\u00f6lzernen Ausstellungs- und Aufbewahrungsbox mit eingravierten nordischen Knoten und Drachen.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>AXT<\/u><\/strong>: Der Kopf der Axt hat eine schmale Klinge und ist leicht genug, um mit einer Hand bedient zu werden. Der Griff aus amerikanischem Hickoryholz ist dunkelbraun gebeizt und hat entlang der L\u00e4nge eine Rille und Messingnieten.
