Jahrhundert in Gebrauch ist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Das Claymore, auch Claidhem-More, Claidhmhichean-mora, Glaymore, schottischer Zweih\u00e4nder, schottisches Langschwert, war etwa bis ins 17. Jahrhundert in Gebrauch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Jakob I. war von 1406 bis zu seinem Tod K\u00f6nig von Schottland, bis 1424 allerdings nur nominell. Er wurde als dritter Sohn von Robert III. und dessen Ehefrau Annabella Drummond geboren. Jakob war zwar ab 1406 der rechtm\u00e4\u00dfige K\u00f6nig Schottlands, sa\u00df jedoch am Hof des englischen K\u00f6nigs Henry IV. fest. Sein Onkel Robert Stewart, der nach dem Tode Roberts III. zum Statthalter ernannt worden war, lie\u00df sich bei der Bezahlung des L\u00f6segelds sehr viel Zeit. Er erreichte die Freilassung seines Sohnes Murdoch Stewart, der zur gleichen Zeit in Gefangenschaft geraten war, war jedoch nicht an der R\u00fcckkehr des K\u00f6nigs interessiert.
